WOW!! I'm surprised Bush didn't fling feces at the reporters today
Edited on Thu Dec-07-06 08:15 PM by CatWoman
I didn't see today's press conference, with the British reporters questioning Chimpy.

Keith is showing highlights.

Bush is looking more deranged and out of control by the day :scared:

2. He was very screamy and petulant.
I actually thought he was gonna deck a reporter at one point.

7. "It's bad in Iraq. Heh, heh, heh."
That was disgusting -- inappropriate affect as well as poo-flinging. Once again he demonstrates what a sociopath he is.

Bu$h: "That's not what I asked"
translation: go fvck yourself.

Fundy Xian: "I'll pray for you"

I wish those British reporters could lend a bit of spine to some of ours.

8. Oh, I hope every single thing on earth irritates him.
I hope he itches and twitches and feels phantom pain. If we cannot bring him to justice, let his body mete out self-punishment.

Because then the Idiot-in-Chief will hit that nuclear trigger and blow up all the "irritating" things on this Earth. He really is that hateful.

6. Can you be sure he didn't?
You are right, the Chimp appears VERY unstable ... he was always out of touch with reality, appearing arrogant, mean and indifferent to the problems of others. Now, if you told me he did fling feces I'd believe it.

13. White House website has already changed the transcript:
Involving the embarrassing question from the BBC political reporter: read the whole thing at:

http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2006/12/7/173818/808

It now turns out that the question was so embarassing to Bush that the transcript on the White House site completely changes the sense. This is what it claims:

Q Mr. President, the Iraq Study Group described the situation in Iraq as grave and deteriorating. You said that the increase in attacks is unsettling. That won't convince many people that you're still in denial about how bad things are in Iraq, and question your sincerity about changing course

The correct version and more about the reporter follows.

* londonbear's diary :: ::
*

The questioner was the BBC's political editor Nick Robinson. The question actually asked was

"...That will convince many people that you're still in denial about how bad things are in Iraq, and question your sincerity about changing course"

You might think that this question was carefully prepared beforehand but Nick Robinson writes a blog for BBC News and today's entryreveals that he composed it on the hoof:

"Sitting in the press conference, I thought it was extraordinary that just the day after the Iraq study group had been so critical of what was happening in Iraq, the president used such soft language to describe the situation there. All we got from the president was a very gentle phrase about the trouble in Baghdad being 'unsettling'."

That's why I put the question to him that I did.

14. You know, if there isn't a senior Republican responsible enough
and unafraid enough to demand his resignation in order to save what credibility as a political party that the Republicans have left, well all I can say is sit back and watch the simian self-destruct.

It was one of his worst press conferences. His grasp on reality has slipped through his fingers when he reached for the feces you mentioned.

do not deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence with the General. His "I'm in charge" rant was 100 times more stable and reassuring than the president today.

23. his memorable words :)
Constitutionally, gentlemen, you have the president, the vice president and the secretary of state, in that order, and should the president decide he wants to transfer the helm to the vice president, he will do so. As for now, I'm in control here, in the White House, pending the return of the vice president and in close touch with him. If something came up, I would check with him, of course.

26. I wish the MSM in the U.S. would have the balls to ask him
these questions. Tony Snow has become unwatchable, absolutely despicable. I skipped over to Fox for the minute I can stand and there was a question for viewers to poll as to should NBC get rid of David. Unbelievable. They still think they're in charge!
