Need advice: website vs. blog. ???
I've just started my first blog (better late than never, I guess), and suddenly I have all these ideas for online stuff. One thing I want to do is to start a site for all the quotes I've collected over the years. But this blogger.com format doesn't seem ideal for that. Would a website be better for things of that nature? What are some good free ones?

What's the difference between a website and a blog anyway?

just from personal experienece. You will get more traffic at a website. We get more than 200,000 hits per month, and we just started.

2. Hey, cool!
Is that a free site? Did you check out any other companies before going with this one? Why did you choose this one? Make any money with your site? Haven't had a chance to check it out yet.

7. Yes, it's free.
We don't really want to advertise yet - we maybe will as we grow more.

3. A Web site, for what you describe
Web site's are better for fairly static material that you want up as a reference or drawing point.

Think of a blog as a kind of online journal. If you want to express your thoughts on a certain type of subject (e.g., politics) and post such thoughts fairly frequently, then a blog is best.

4. You could integrate them and get the benefits of both.

Here's an example.
In this case, the website came first, then the "blogging functions" were added.

5. Do both
Have web pages for your static stuff and a blog for daily commentary. You can run a feed from your blog into your home page, or just make your blog the home page with links off to the static pages.
