1. House Republicans were negligent, but no one needs to be reprimanded.

3. This is obnoxious!
I watched the press conference and couldn't believe that all they basically did was pat one another on the back for doing such a good job with the investigation. I haven't read the report all the way through, but I have skimmed through most of it, and what I see is alarming. It seems like everybody knew that Foley was the creepy guy who paid too much attention to the pages and other young staffers, but no one did anything serious about it. Foley was warned on more than one occasion to back away from the pages. He would either say that he would, or he would tell whoever was warning him that they were making too much of the situation. There was obviously an attempt to cover this up, so how can no one be punished?

Bill Clinton got a blow job from a consenting adult and the entire country was in upheaval for months on end over it. Mark Foley sends disgusting e-mails and IMs to under age pages, which the pages reported in an attempt to make it stop, and it was swept under the rug.

4. The more I read, the more angry I get
How can you say that the leadership did not handle the situation appropriately, yet state that they broke no rules, so they don't get punished? Apparently, they need official rules that say "If any member of Congress is viewed as a threat to under age pages, they should be drawn and quartered on the Capitol steps".
