GOP was negligent
Foley panel: GOP didn't protect pages

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061208/ap_on_go_co/congress_ethics

The panel said it found no evidence that any current lawmakers or aides violated any rules. But it said it discovered a pattern of conduct among many "to remain willfully ignorant of the potential consequences" of Foley's conduct.

So, the party that is supposed to be the "protectors of America" can't even protect the children we send to work for them.

To me, these phrases will forever be associated with the GOP: "Negligent and willfully ignorant". Pretty much sums up the past 12 years.

Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are going to have to get some industrial strength cleaner to get the stench out of OUR HOUSE!

1. You Naughty Congressmen....
That was wrong, wrong, wrong.

Now, you've learned your lesson. Just don't let it ever happen again.

Or next time, do a better job covering it up just a little longer please.

What a bunch of Fucking HYPOCRITES!

2. Craftily worded
now the right wing noise machine will tell us all how open and honest the republicans are with their actions. Hey, lets throw that we were "willfully ignorant" in the report; our supporters will be able to relate to us. And "negligence" will pacify those evil liberals. But not a word that will bring legal hell and damnation down on our sorry asses. However, come Friday afternoon we can wipe our hands of this truly vile chapter in THE congress' history and go home to our families and boy toys.

My hate is rational for members of that party but it is more intense for those who continue to support them.

4. A "pattern to remain willfully ignorant"??
Isn't that like saying they "worked really hard to get that stupid"?

5. It was such a sordid mess
they couldn't help but cover their eyes and didn't want to know that one of their own had fallen prey to liberal sin. They just willed themselves to know nusssing!!

3. The Ethics Committee, after patting themselves
on the back for "doing a good job" of interviewing people, basically told us all to forget it--no laws were broken. Of course not, they were covering their asses all the way through it.
