Doolittle pays another $44,000 to lawyers
http://www.sacbee.com/111/story/89781.html

Rep. John Doolittle has run up another $44,138 in legal fees with a prominent Washington, D.C., law firm that specializes in cases involving campaign finance and ethics matters.

The Doolittle campaign said it incurred the debt to the Wiley & Rein law firm between mid October and mid November. It paid the firm what appeared to be a $10,000 retainer in August.

The legal fees to Wiley & Rein are in addition to about $50,000 the Roseville Republican has paid this year to a prominent Virginia criminal attorney that Doolittle said he retained in an effort to clear his name in the ongoing investigation of disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff.
