As of this writing we have $275 donated through PayPal and we will be overnighting this amount to SS Monday morning! :toast:


We also received a couple of pledges and checks-in-the-mail from the late night crowd to add to the others! :bounce:


Many thanks are due to JeffR who signed onto the *team* early yesterday morning and has tirelessly retuned to kick the thread and drum up support :yourock: To the others of you, and you know who you are, who have kept an eye on the thread and kicked at crucial times - Thanks a Brazzillion ;)


On a personal note: Many of you have been very kind to thank me for providing the impetus for this effort and to you I say - Take a look in the mirror :)

5. All of you - are the reason I love this place

I'm trying to find my own way back to life again after a terrible car accident (i wasnt driving and that is another story) -- my car totalled, being life flighted, surgery, head injury, broken bones etc, etc.

When it all becomes a little too much to deal with, I know I can come to DU no matter what time of day or night it is. You are all truly wonderful people and you have restored my faith in humanity.

you are right, money does help. one of my friends instead of sending me flowers or a card -- sent me a check -- it paid my electric bill.

unfortunately, bills are a reality and any relief is so very welcome no matter what amount.
