Foley Ethics Committee: America Go Fuck Yourself. We Are Above the Law
Edited on Sat Dec-09-06 09:23 AM by spanone
The Foley scandal went on RIGHT IN FRONT OF the Republican Congress leaders and they DID NOTHING. But, as the committee says, they did nothing wrong.

God Almighty. Send this pathetic self absorbed shit-for-caring congress criminals to hell and home.

Committee Says GOP Left Foley Unchecked

~snip~ The House ethics committee concluded yesterday that House Speaker J. Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.) and his top staff probably knew for months, if not years, of then-Rep. Mark Foley's inappropriate contact with former House pages but did nothing to protect the teenagers.~snip~

1. This is criminal. There is NO EXCUSE for the Democrats to let the repukes get away with this shit!
I can ASSURE YOU the repukes would never have done this if Foley was a Democrat. Why would the Democrats on the committee do this? They won the damn election! THEY are now in the MAJORITY. :wtf: This makes me sick.

11. Isn't this ethics committee the republican one
I did not think the democrats had a say. Remember when the dems wanted to censure delay and they couldn't because the ethic committe was not bi-partisan. Didn't the republicans also get rid of the more hard line ethic members and appoint those who went along with delays corruption. I might be wrong and these might be two different committees.

12. no. you're right. in fact, i believe joel hefley (r-co) retired
because he did not like what the repugs did to the ethics committee, on which he sat.

13. Yes. It's repuke controlled, but the Dems didn't HAVE to agree to the cover up.

They could have stuck by their principles. A crime is a crime is a crime...whether you're a Congressman or a citizen.

You're right. It was the ethics committee that was closed down because of what the repukes were doing. The repukes changed the committee rules to allow Delay to stay in Congress even if he was INDICTED! Of course, that was Tom Delay's bright idea.:eyes: The Democrats refused to be a part of it.

Things will be changing after January and I cannot wait!

6. And the ticker at the bottom of the screen on CNN this morning made sure to inform everyone that
Rahm Emmanuel know of Foley's actions a year ago and did nothing. So now it's not only excuse the Repukes, it's blame the dems.

7. The GOP has converted all their 'intelli' and 'dili' to 'negli' - and profited on the exchange.

10. You're right, the fact that Condi missed all the 911 warnings was negligent, but not criminal.
