but had heard about him. I knew his cousin Odell.

This is sad. I am glad I had the time today to actually read about him.

Thank you for your dedication to this story. I will have to take some time today to look at your past posts about him, I was not around much more than to see them posted. He sounds like he was a wonderful man.

5. He was awesome

Every political event in KC for years - Randy was there. Last time I saw him was that Sunday we went to Topeka right before the election. He was so excited to see we had come all the way from KC to support Boyda.

Man, of all the things to miss around here I had to miss that and the protest of Bush**. It would have been nice to have met Randy. I can't remember where I had heard about him but his name came up often enough that I recognized it.

I wonder if they will let Odell out of the slammer to go to his funeral?

9. Odell Weidner of the Wittig fame?

He is the cousin of Barnes. He did some kind of bank deal with Wittig and has been in prison for a while now. I went to school with him, always thought he was pretty nice. I only mentioned him because I read that he was his cousin and it seemed so odd for the two of them but then families are families. :shrug:

Do you have a photo of your brother you could post? I live out north if Kansas City near the airport am a huge Claire McCaskell supporter. I just feel that we've seen him on television. He sounds like a
great human being.
