Can you envision bush ever apologizing?
I've seen a lot of people suggest that bush is a sociopath, and thusly can't feel remorse or guilt for anything, he was once famously asked if he had any regrets, and he just couldn't think of any.

It's too late to apologize to the many thousands of dead innocent Iraqis, I suppose he could apologize to the living ones, but they might be too pissed to accept it.

It's too late to apologize to the three thousand who died on nine eleven who didn't have to, if they'd only been warned, or the three thousand dead soldiers who were lied into their graves in the prime of their lives.

He doesn't seem like the apologizing type, maybe out of his sense of royal entitlement, or maybe out of his supposed sociopathy, or maybe, just maybe he won't apologize just because he doesn't want to. He doesn't feel the need to. To apologize would mean you'd done something to apologize for, and he can't do that.

I've heard it suggested that America might apologize for what it's government has done, but can the government and the general populace choke up an apology? Should we? Should he? Would it do any good?

Being born a bush means you never have to say you're sorry.

2. I can only see him demanding that other people FIX THINGS
or MAKE THEM GO AWAY like his Poppy did when he was a kid.

I think the only apology the world will accept is every one of his gang of thieves, liars and lunatics on trial for treason.

3. I'm not interested in his apology.
I'm interested in his total humiliation and 100% repudiation by America and everyone in it.

I don't just want him gone, I want people to spit when they say his name.

5. He might DO it... but he can never MEAN it.

He's incapable of remorse or regret. His EVERY word and action is designed to elicit a reaction. This is at the heart of pathological narcissism. He is NOT guided by any independent sense of self - or anything derived therefrom, such as self-esteem. He's just not 'built' that way.

"Who cares what you thnk?" "Watch this drive!"

DUers might as well chase farts to paint them purple as expect that Smirk can EVER 'feel' regret or remorse. It just ain't going to happen. His pathological narcissism is effectively untreatable. He truly belongs in solitary confinement in a padded cell.

This is not hyperbole or exaggeration at all. It's as accurate an assessment as I can make.

8. Agreed. If he ever actually said the WORDS, the TONE would still be 100% "fuck you".
And no, your assesment isn't hyperbole at all- just
the plain unvarnished facts.

He's not built that way.

16. I see something in his eyes lately
Not sure if it's remorse and guilt, but it sure looks like it. Maybe he's just a good actor?

Even so, he'll never apologize like a normal person with a conscience.

19. Like most cowards, I'm sure he would if facing his
death sentence, but not before. In that case I even envision him on his knees crying and pleading for his life. Even though what he has done is not the majority of the American people's fault, we should apologize in spite of that, as a beginning for forgiveness and redemption of the crimes that have been committed in our names.

I also, believe bringing, *w, Karl, Rummy, Dick Vader and Condi to trial and final justice will be the only way the world, but more particularly the ME world, might think of forgiving us. It's a matter of finally doing the right thing after many wrongs.
