Sometimes, if you want a good cool drink of water.... |

...you gotta dig a little deeper in the well. If you want to get to the heart of things, you gotta dig way down deep. (Doc Watson, guitar picker extraordinaire)
If you want to know why Bush does not want to follow the ISG report, we need look no further than Mr Bush himself. He has created his entire Presidency around fear, terrorism, and building a "democracy" in Iraq. It's like a three-legged stool. If any of the legs is cut off, the entire stool collapses. If Bush admits that the war is a failure or that "democracy" is not possible, his entire Presidency collapses. That's why it is impossible for him to follow the suggestions of the ISG report. It would be an admission of his own failure. That is something his ego will not permit.

We will watch him become more and more unhinged. His handlers will try to hide his descent into madness but, ultimately, they won't be able to cover it up.
At this point, impeachment would be the kindest way for his presidency to end.
