In the early days a body count where the perceived enemy gets pummeled, (ie. Coalition deaths - 4, Insurgent deaths - 344) suggests victory is at hand... As public perceptions change and Iraq is seen as a civil war that will spread across the region, where terrorist leaders find easy recruitment, a high death count signals peace in the country is unattainable. Even without sources the logic is inescapable.

Trolls rarely have a journal at all, much less a journal as edgy and far-left as pwb's. As for "some guy I know" sources, I will confirm that many US service-people that recently returned from Iraq are still considered ACTIVE DUTY by the military. Revealing those type sources exposes them to a multitude of life-altering consequences. I will never reveal a "source" that falls into this category. It's an old-school news-writer approach.
