It all reminds me of an old MAD Magazine parody

of Mandrake the Magician from the late 1950's:

In the parody, Mandrake's car has a flat tire. He and his two companions, Lothar, and the girl (can't recall her name) exit the car and Mandrake starts to hypnotize...Lothar says, "You can hypnotize ME into thinking it's fixed, and you can hypnotize HER into thinking it's fixed, and you can even hypnotize YOURSELF into thinking it's fixed...but how are you going to hypnotize the TIRE into thiking it's fixed?"

These MSM types are trying to hypnotize everyone into thinking eveything's OK, but the killing and the attrition and the desolation and the despair keep on happening. And that's just the DOMESTIC situation...the War's even worse.
