The Chris Matthews show is SO much better with David Gregory in charge |
|
panelists include Bob Woodward, Andrea Mitchell, and others.
They are tearing Chimpy apart for his stubornness and wrong headedness about the Iraq Study Group's report.
Bush is completely off his rocker, and the panel doesn't mind saying so, albeit in so many words.

1. We are being sold the ISG bullshit |
|
in a classic shell game. The chorus admonishes Bush for not accepting the report, meanwhile the report says we ought to die and kill for at least two more years to make Iraq safe for our oil business.

6. Anything to preserve the myth of invasion and occupation legitimacy ... |
|
... and the ownership entitlements to Iraqi assets and resources. It stinks.

Just the prospect of that host change sounds good. I bet Gregory didn't use the term "tough guy" even once.

it's quite obvious that Gregory doesn't share Tweet's er, "enthusiasm" about Chimpy.
It's on in Atlanta right now; will be replayed later tonite on CNBC.

5. The bizarre "political correctness" of the media is strange to behold. |
|
El Smirko hasn't changed and we've seen the same behavior all along - but all of a sudden, as long as his 'approval' is below 40%, they can now justify criticisms. At the same time, they still pretend that Chimpy is somehow in some level of control - and he's just not. Where's Cheney? What's Cheney's opinion? We don't hear much about that.
The ISG report contains, itself, a demonstrably corrupt attitude of preserving the global corporate entitlements, imho. It's clear that the ONLY definition of 'success' in Iraq is a government or governmentS that will preserve such entitlements and not reduce such corporations as mere hirelings - a government or governmentS that will genuflect to the U.S. in all things. The pretense that there's ANY legitimacy to our invasion and occupation is a continuing corruption, imho.
