a man so insulated from the consequences of his actions that he's totally incapable of recognizing that he's made any mistakes at all.

He's a blundering fool so convinced of his own genius that he is unwilling and unable to look reality in the eye and, instead, is going through life thinking everything is going according to plan.

Everything being equal, this would probably make a hilarious sit-com. But everything ISN'T equal. The man I describe is President of the most powerful nation on Earth. For the next few years, at least. President for the next few years of the most powerful nation on Earth for the next few years. It won't last. His cronies and political Party, easily as foolish as he himself is, have sabotaged not only the reputation of this country, but its viability on the world stage, both diplomatically AND economically.

I don't think they INTENDED to fuck America over, but that's the end result of what they've done. And what's worse is that they're so caught up in their delusions of grandeur that they don't even realize it. They carry on blithely forward, assuming that someone else is going to clean up their mess...assuming, of course, that they even realize they made a mess.

How can anyone not look at Iraq and see a disaster? How can anyone not see relying on China to finance our trillion dollar deficit is just another disaster waiting to happen? How can they not see that carrying on with polluting and corrupting our planet isn't just about the WORST thing we can do in the long run?

How can ostensibly intelligent people be THAT FUCKING STUPID?

Imagine, if you will, a nation led by a bunch of corrupt morons, blinded by a complicit media, and unaware of how bad things are getting.

Imagine? Recognize the reality of it.

And do something about it.

Or we are ALL lost.
