6. I already pay whenever I buy an issue.
Internet should be free, however. ALL of it. When we register (those of us who do) we relinquish various details about ourselves that outfits like the New York Times (and the advertisers who pay for this info, too, so they can further target their campaigns) can then exploit for profit - certainly without paying us.
