Bush could of skated for another 2 years if he would have |
|
followed the ISG suggestions, now the only way out is to cut the funding. I predict that this will become the preferred view in polls very quickly. Especially in view of the fact that most of the Iraqi's honchos act like it's up to them to decide if we can go.

1. Someone said to me that that's rove's |
|
plan.."for the Dems to cut the funding for the Soldiers and then go after the Dems for not supporting the troops".
I'm hoping we are far beyond the media and rove setting up traps for the Dems on the War On Iraq.

6. Jesus H. Christ. You still believe Rove is the Wizard of Oz |
|
BRILLIANT SCHEME: Lose the election and then blame everything on the winning Dems.
God, that man's a genius. Has there ever been such cleverness?

7. I did at one time think Rove was an evil genius. |
|
Now I think he is the worst political adviser in modern times.

11. All you need to be a genius is to control a national press and have |
|
them say you're a genius. Simple hype. Moron stuff. But you know that.

12. It is too bad that our troops and their families have to suffer because these |
|
douchebags want to play politics.
Bring the troops home and pick up a rifle if you want to use the war, assholes.

2. Its actually quite smart |

Rovian in nature. George personally doesn't have to worry. He is out in two years. The only people that can catch hell from the path he has taken are George and the Dems calling for cutbacks. George goes out in a blaze of idiocy, the rest of the Repugs sit back and watch the Dems tear their hair out trying to dismantle George's war. And the right gets a free argument that the Dems cost us the war.

3. I don't think at 27% disapproval, many will believe that the Dems will cost the war. |

This was georgie's folly and he is on record over and over as shoving this forward, regardless of the lunacy. MKJ

5. Thats disapproval of George |

Not approval of Dems. We have to do something to garner approval. And for the next two years the Repugs are going to be working towards pinning every single negative connotation of the past 6 years (and beyond) to the Dems.

10. I for one will agree with your scenario |
|
we've seen it in the waning hours of the congress. Now the Democratic Party is supposed to come in and straighten everything out in 4 months. If they don't, we'll hear the whining about how the country is now in Democratic hands and they couldn't do anything to fix 12 years of malfeasence in a short time.
Sit back, have a beer or your choice of beverage, watch the reps kill us for not taking care of all their mistakes quickly.

4. Well, thing is, he needs war, otherwise he has nothing |
|
so even if he did "win" in Iraq, they would have pushed into Iran. Republicans need a constant war and unseen threats, otherwise they have nothing to run on.

of admitting he's wrong. Some voters thought this demonstrated strength of character. It is now clear that it simply means the man is weapons-grade stoopid.
