ok, go for it. All is lost because... predict the future, tell us why we should not try or care or why all is bad and why all people are stupid and ignorant except yourself. Go ahead. Here is the thread to do it in. Now, can we get on with what needs to be done on the rest of DU? Kitten threads in the Lounge. Iraq and homelessness in GD. Why keep a gun handy in the gungeon. Latest 911 theories in 911. Onward!
ps, who will be the first to tell me to use my hide thread function?

And there's damn little we can do about it at this late date, and what we could do about it is being blocked by FlatEarthers who think that all science is a form of Satan-worship designed to keep men from beating their wives and raping their children.
That enough of a reason?

the good news is that it will only last for 400 to 800 years before it fixes itself.. if we quit burning hydrocarbons

3. All is lost, there is no hope, the GOP control the M$M, the courts, |
|
the executive and the shadowy corridors of power where the REAL movers and shakers pull the strings behind the scenes. They only let us win small majorities in both houses of Congress in the recent election so that the coming colossal failure in Iraq can be blamed on the Democrats, thus ensuring another GOP president and Congress being elected in 2008. We might as well just submit to the lash and the yoke and get on with our trivial, meaningless lives. How's that for woe, gloom, and despair? :( ;( :scared:  :hide: :yoiks:
