What do ya'll think of Anderson Cooper's 60 Minutes debut?
I think he is a good choice.

Does this mean he'll finally ditch that cable rag news network and meet his potential as a real journalist on 60 Minutes.

I sure hope so.

3. Missed it, but I think this guy has enormous potential
His post-Katrina coverage was very moving, very engaged and engaging journalism. It's a pity he works for Jon Klein and the idiots at CNN.

Also: he needs to get that "T" isn't pronounced like "D".

4. Without fanfare the average age of...
...the 60 Minutes correspondents seems to have dropped 50 yrs.
Very sorry about Ed Bradley's untimely death but where are
Mike Wallace, Morley Safer, Dan Rather et al?The show is being
injected with new blood and was in need of it...IMO.

6. True.
With no disrespect to the greats who made the show, some new blood is a welcome prospect.

7. One of the tabloids says AC is in the running to be Katie Couric's replacement.
(I was flipping through them while waiting in line at the supermarket. Don't remember which one it was.)

I hope there is some truth to that tabloid article - he would do well in that position, IMO.
