It is easy to see when listening to Kucinich why he is not the darling of the media and the corporations.

BUT he is the man of the PEOPLE!
Everyone should listen to his take on things and ask if this is what you want in a president.

1. I am glad an anti-war candidate is considering a run.
All i hear about is Hillary and obama. obama says that perhaps the u.s. should START withdrawal in 6 months. Ending it, no one knows when.

Dennis is more clear.

6. Hillary. Reason not very excitted about 08.
Well, we'd vote for her at least. But, such a chameleon. Little Excitement there. One aspect of Hillary. Can you imagine the glee of seeing Bush II turn over the White House keys to the Clintons.
But as to Kucinich. Really inspiring. Honesty at whatever cost. Cindy Sheenan recently toured Cleveland with DK. At the Cleveland Labor Conference about the war. Called his rallying speech electrifying. Said she was looking for a 'baptismal font' after Dennis' electrfying speech.

7. That was a great read by Cindy
so cool she and Dennis had breakfast at his home- wow what a congressman!

Here's an article about the speech
http://www.pww.org/article/articleview/10269/1/350

“This year we can change things,” Kucinich said, “but we need your help.” Congressman James McGovern’s bill to cut the war funding will be reintroduced, he said. “It will be springtime for the peace movement. We need to bring a million people to Washington on the eve of that vote. We must demand an end to war.”

Kucinich’s speech was repeatedly interrupted by standing ovations.

maybe it will come out on video? When I saw his speech in LA to the So. Cal. ACLU in 2003, Dennis Kucinich had us at hello.

10. WE must demand more from our leaders
Our leader should be, first and foremost, a leader! and certainly not a follower of the biggest idiot of a president ever.

Kucinich has been leading the opposition against Bush in the House since they forced the Patriot Act on them with a few hours to read before the vote. Kucinich is the only one who read it, and led the effort against it. He led the Democrats to vote against the IWR in the House. Where was Nancy Pelosi, is she a leader?

Shouldn't We get to decide as a party- what we want? I feel like these candidates are forcing themselves upon us and no one really wants them. The majority are against the war, want out NOW, not in 6 months or two years. And they can stop the bullshit about Iran as well. WE want universal health care, an end to the patriot act and other assaults on our constitution.

3. Kucinich ran the debates in '04.
He forced the media and other candidates to address issues and points that they would rather avoid. It was a very important part of his candidacy and why he had more effect on the race than others who lost like Clark, Dean and Gephardt.

4. We CAN have a president like this
Everyone talks about the media controlling everything, but we have the internet now.

Bush and his daddy both have attributed their downfall to the internets and the google...we can spread the word on the internet. No one is listening to the corporate media anymore- they are proven liars.

8. We don't have the on-the-ground institutional strength, though
Those internets tubes aren't enough by themselves. However, if everybody who agrees with his platform backs him, we will at least push the Dems much further in our direction.

9. How many people learned the truth about Iraq on the Corporate News?
...and yet the majority of the American people now know the war is based on lies.

How many talking heads are talking about Impeachment? none...yet the majority of the American people know that we must impeach Bush to uphold our constitution.

We the people know more than the corporate news media- we don't look to them for the truth anymore. Why should the next election be any different?

It it time for us to take back our country through the miracle of the internet. I think you are wrong- this entire revolution has happened through the internet...and the internet is the way it will continue.

18. That's what Dean thought in 2004
--and with respect to net usage back then, every other campaign was in the position of being the second guy to think of the Pet Rock idea. But that did not get him Iowa, because Kerry made the actual personal contacts with local Dem party members who controlled the caucus process.

Dennis won the three counties in North Carolina where he PERSONALLY appeared. The old-fashioned shoe-leather thing is something that Dems have to get good at doing once again. The internet can be an adjunct to this, but it will never be the whole story. We are just beginning to learn the most effective ways of integrating local activist groups on the ground with net activism. We've come a long way since 2004, but I don't think we are there yet.

12. He is always there on time on the issues.
Here is an interesting piece by a young supporter: "Our Generation Deserves President Dennis Kucinich." It reminded me of the young people who supported him last time out; there were many.

<snip>

He led the opposition to USA PATRIOT in 2001. He was correct.

He led the opposition to the war in Iraq in 2002 and 2003. He was correct.

He co-sponsored legislation for a voter-verifiable paper trail in 2003. He was correct.

He called for suspension of electronic voting in 2004. He was correct.

He is currently leading the fight to end the war in Iraq by cutting the funding. He is correct.

He is the leader of the fight to stop war with Iran. He is correct.

He is leading the fight for a return to paper ballots. He is correct.

He is leading the fight for voting rights and civil rights in America. He is correct.
