1. Quite telling,
that first cartoon. Hope it's run again on Feb. 22nd.

8. My local paper is pretty middle to left in its comic selection
I usually go to Yahoo for cartoons, but some of them have file names that do not appear as image when we link. I go to Wa Po for the others.

9. Mr. Auth lives in the Philadelphia area
as does Signe Wilkinson, another Pulitzer-prize winning cartoonist (and a fellow Quaker). One local paper (Inquirer) runs all of Auth's stuff, the other paper runs Wilkerson's. So we're doubly blessed here.

10. In my old home town we had Hugh Haynie. He became very
well known for his cartoon "Nixon's Brain"

Sadly, very little Haynie art is online. I will have to scan the signed original I have of one of his cartoons.

Joel Pett (the last of the three) is from the Lexington Herald-Leader in Lexington Ky. He is also a Pulitzer winner.

7. The second and third are very hard-hitting toons.
Thank you for sharing.
