1. My friend and I got together to avoid the SOTU address..instead,

we watched Clark's speech from yesterday, "The Real State of the Union 2006." We enjoyed it thoroughly and I marveled at some of the very tough comments and assessments. He was honest and insightful.


I decided that it would have been great for him to give the response.

CSPAN has Clark's speech archived and available online. It is currently link number 17, though new links undoubtedly will get added that will lower it later. It is called "New America Foundation on State of Foreign Policy. Clark gives his speech well into the program, at approximately 3 hours and 20 minutes. A transcript of Clark's prepared comments is also available at his web site now, and an audio should be available there later. But the speech is much better than the transcript. He added to it live.
