We -- all of us here with consciences -- have born a tremendous
burden. To see the morally corrupt wasteland that this administration has perpetrated -- is incredibly debilitating. Many of us have been spiritually and mentally drained... and our personal lives been compromised.

However, through the actions and passion we demonstrate, and the sheer will with which we continue to battle this evil, we shall be rewarded. Hold your head up high and give yourself a pat on the back. Shrub will be vanquished -- and we will know that we have been very influential in stepping forward towards self-determination again.

Small steps, in unison, can be giant in their strides. Peace and love to you all during our year end ponderings.(sic?) :grouphug:

3. Thanks for those thoughts. It has been a terrible burden for six long years.
Edited on Mon Dec-11-06 01:33 AM by Divernan
I have lost long time friends and some family members to the political divide in this country. Actually, I think of it more as a moral/ethics divide in this country. I cannot accept or tolerate people who support Bush because of their family tradition of being Republican, in spite of the destructive, often murderous actions of the Bush administration and his GOP dominated Congress and Supreme Court.
On edit: Happy to have been the 5th Recommendation on this thread.
And one other thought. If , some 7 years ago, anyone would tell me I would be in the habit of being up at 1:30 am, cruising the blogs & news on line re political/war news, because of the terrible state of our world/country/society - I couldn't have believed it.

I hope that if there is a judgment day, their souls feel all of the anguish they have imposed upon this world.

I wish someone had corrected me for my egregious spelling (edit again) and grammatical errors.

16. Yes dearsibling, I am feelin quite (sic) and tired
And now I am reporting on fascism in Mexico as well

I realize that I have been irresponsible to my own well being
with the energy that I devote to these things
that most of america doesn't know (or care) is happening

I don't believe in an afterlife
so whatever time and energy I have expended
is simply gone
I don't expect any reward

But, there does need to be a closure
somehow
as my life is falling apart

18. I cannot recant your actions,
Edited on Mon Dec-11-06 03:29 AM by BushDespiser12
you have followed your heart and conscience in pursuing your endeavors. That you have put others before yourself is a product of not condoning the evil shunted our way, and realizing the enormity of the transgressions perpetrated by BushCo, the MSM and the corporate devils that aspire to the throne. I am very sorry that your life is "falling apart". I have been there... and am only now scrambling up the jagged edges of the pit to reclaim my life. All your energy that you have expended, is a foothold for me. And all the energy we will continue to expend, is foundation for others. Fuck the despair -- we owe them none of that. You have no idea how powerful you are, or how much you matter. And the measure of our worth is not calculated in finite terms. It is much more complicated. And you matter more than those with whom you do battle.
