Did Bush cover health care savings plans? |
|
In his speech? I haven't seen mention of it yet, but then there are about 8 massive threads to look through, so I mighta missed it.
Mind you, we have a similar plan here at work, but it's not mandatory. Some folks like having their co-pays in the savings account, and like that it's not taxed.
But that's just co-pays. Listening to Randi this evening, it sounded like Bush was hoping to use such a plan to replace health care. As if people could afford to just put away what they'd need.
She made it sound like a substitute for the failed Soc. Sec. plan, throwing the disappointed investment companies another chance to make money.
So what did he say about such plans, anything?

Don't ever let it be said that Bush doesn't pay attention to polls before he makes speeches

Were they popular in the polls, or not popular?
And can you give me a vague idea of what he said?

I was a t work and missed the big speech. In all honesty, I probably wouldn't have watched the Chimp even if I wasn't working.
This issue was being hyped as his big plan for the year, so I do wonder what was said about health care.
