why are we kissing their asses, part 2
Why would we wait for Bush Senior's stenographed Baker-Hamilton study?
Why did the Democrats NOT createan indie commission, but based not on Supreme court justices, ancient pols and hatchet men, but made up of learned experts, ex-State, and ex-Military people?

The choices offered by the "bilateral" (If I hear that one more time, I will puke. this ISG report is about as even handed as my left nut) leave the Democrats in a rut. On one side is our barely sentient Boy George, with his own path based on delusions, misinformation, spite, petulent arrogance and lack of intellectual curiosity. On the other side is the hidden GOP agenda. Of course they want to talk to Iran, not bomb it. Of course they want to talk to Syria. And yes,at the Saudi's orders, they want to shake up the current crap of neocon's all too cozy, incestual, pro-war, incredibly profitable, and deadly relationship with Israel.

Baker Hamilton was not the silver bullet. Yet, I see nothing on the Dems' part that would set the ground work for our own decisions and responsible leadership on the issue of Iraq.
