3. No but they didn't clap much
While the repukes can stay away from the gym for a couple days. They really got their exercise jumping up and applauding every 3 minutes!

4. Why expect them to if it's not important enough for YOU to even WATCH?
:eyes:

Walking out of the SOTU is not enough, we have to place them in POWER if we want change!

14. And Bush and the RW ensured you are not entitled to overtime!
Don't forget that while to expect OTHERS to particpate in OUR democracy.

9. Oh, Brother!
A Bush State of the Union is NOT important enough to watch.

Which lie did you hear that is going to change anything you did not already know that he lies about?

I refused to watch because I knew the fake, inside-the-beltway, elitist Democrats would clap politely ... and I just cannot stomach that wimpish display any longer.

If the Democrats HAD walked out there might have been a chance of them getting back into power -- but they didn't have the guts to walk out, just like they didn't have the guts to filibuster Alito.

Every Democrat also could have worn a T-shirt or a button like Sheehan's ... what a display if all those Democrats had been arrested! But they didn't have the guts or initiative to do that either!

And you want to follow these appeasers and enablers?

13. To suggest that Democrats should do X Y Z ...
Edited on Wed Feb-01-06 12:43 AM by mzmolly
while the rest of you decide "we can't change anything" is absurd.

The "appeasers and enablers" are those who ASSURE that DEMOCRATS are not LEADING THE NATION by indirectly supporting the fascists in the election process!

Don't look to Dems to solve YOUR !@#* problems if you are going to RUN AWAY!

5. Why don't they do things like this?
Instead of giving polite applause while we get men like Alito to run our sex lives and our money for the next generation or so...

15. No, but they did manage to applaud Bush
when he said he was unsuccessful with his proposal to privatize Social Security. Managed to piss him off slightly--he started shaking his finger at them!
