Please, tell me, just WHAT THE FUCK does a 4 year old know about sex??? And couldn't this teacher's aide handle this a bit more realistically? How about correcting the kid? Why did she have to file a complaint? Has the world gone completely batshit crazy??

4 -year-old Accused of Improperly Touching Teacher

BELLMEAD- A four-year-old hugged his teachers aide and was put into in-school suspension, according to the father. But La Vega school administrators have a different story.

Damarcus Blackwell's four-year-old son was lining-up to get on the bus after school last month, when he was accused of rubbing his face in the chest of a female employee.

The prinicipal of La Vega Primary School sent a letter to the Blackwells that said the pre-kindergartener demonstrated "inappropriate physical behavior interpreted as sexual contact and/or sexual harassment."

Blackwell says it's ridiculous that the aide would misread a hug from a four-year-old. Blackwell wrote to administrators demanding that the whole incident be expunged from his son's academic file because his son is too young to know what it means to act sexually.

6. It's been a long long time since I had a 4 yo around, but I can't imagine

taking anything they do as sexual. And even if it were a case like that, then it would seem to be a clear indication of some kind of abuse, not "sexual harassement" of the teacher.

Give me a break. "Child touches breastes" ought to be the screaming headline. Evidently the traumatized aide never did much field work with 4 year olds prior to entering her field -- you know, at 4 they aren't very good at post No. 2 personal cleansing, either...

I must find that 3 year old who crawled up into my lap in church, a friend of mine's son who saw me and ran to my aisle and straight up into my lap. I think we had buttock to lap contact. I am now traumatized beyond belief. I want him chemically castrated! No, I just actually shifted him from lap to knee and he went to the communion rail with me holding my hand for his blessing.

breasts are very nice, but no big deal in general if everyone freaks out? They're going to give him a complex. The minute they made a big deal out of it they told that kid that breasts are a big deal. I'd bet my ass that the kid has a major breast fixation for the rest of his life...

it was just a hug! He must be terribly confused about how a hug could get that kind of reaction. :( I hope he's ok.

I have a 4-year-old. Kids that age haven't learned to have the hang-ups we adults have, so he wouldn't have known to avoid her breasts. That doesn't mean it was sexual. He was just hugging.

Especially if he's an obedient child, a suspension, reprimand, and disciplinary record for hugging a teacher could alter his behavior across the board in many fundamental and detrimental ways.

may exhibit inappropriately sexualized behavior. We do not have the salient facts of the incident to know wtf is going on here.

However, there is no scenario I can concoct that would justify blaming a 4 year old. Not. One.

If a 4 year old is acting out and displaying inappropriate sexual behavior-it is usually a sign of abuse. In this case- it's unclear whether his behavior was inappropriate and sexual. It may have just been inappropriate. IN which case-send a note home and tell the child not to touch the women's chest. If it happens again-perhaps a punishment or a call to social services.
