"Hundreds of troops wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan are to be awarded millions of pounds in compensation following a ruling by the Government that they are victims of crime not war."

I wonder if the war is found to be "illegal" here whether our troops could be eligible for same type of compensation. Somehow I doubt it but it does show that the brits are more up to taking care of their wounded troops than we are.

... it doesn't say the war is illegal. It says the soldiers were injured after the declared end of war and the acts done against the soldiers are criminal actions. Completely different take on it.
