What can Republicans point to about George Bush that makes them proud?
Turning a record surplus into massive record setting deficits?

The destruction of the middle class?

Lowering the standard of living for the average American?

A horrendous job creation record?

Changing America from nation respected by many to one that is feared & hated by almost all?

Pissing on the Constitution?

Rolling back environmental protections that started under Nixon?

Adding millions more to the ranks of the uninsured, while millions more have seen increases in health care costs that have far outstripped their meager pay increases?

Government sanctioned torture?

Millions of jobs outsourced to China, most often replaced with far lower paying ones?

Billions upon billions in Corporate welfare through the Medicare drug plan and tax cuts for oil companies.

Rampant corruption at all levels of the federal government?

Anything?

2. Remaining willfully stubborn about resisting reality
and maintaining delusions.

Many Republicans like that in a guy. Makes 'em think things are fine and all they have to do is slap on ribbon magnets and chant we're number one!.

Facing reality means facing problems and wrong decisions then DOING something to fix things. Being delusional is SO much more fun. bush is their poster boy. If there was a breakfast food called
Flakey Flakes, his picture would be on the box and 30% of the population would eat the stuff until they died from malnutrition.

3. "He's a gooood CHREEESTIAN ma-yan!!!"
"He don't put on no fancy-fangled airs."

"He's the kind of feller Ah want to have a beer with."

In other words, nothing fact-based, only wishful, deluded opinions as to his alleged character and values.

5. Republicans appear to like Bush
because he's a hateful, arrogant, stupid, stubborn SOB.

This is what they seem to like about him from what I can tell.

7. He makes liberals angry.
That's it. That's all he needs to do. That's how much they hate their fellow Americans.

9. I work with a young republican..
most likely influenced by his parents. He is simply unable to answer the question regarding Bush's successes. Instead, he'll bring up how much of a failure he thinks Clinton was. Of course, none of his points are valid.
Now that I think about it, he never has much to say, other than accusing me of joining the "anti-bush bandwagon"
Funny, coming from a kid who admittedly hasn't done any research into politics or sociology..

12. He proved the adage that
"In America any boy can grow up to be president". Left out is the part that should have added "With the proper connections".
