Went and put a package for troop at the UPS office
yes yet another one in the tale of stories.

This time it involved the staff

This package iss going to an active combat zone... so here is the tale of what happened next.

So I am first asked... where is this going to?

Iraq

UPS or USPS?

UPS does not deliver in Iraq.

Yes we do.

No you don't, USPS.

Would you like to insure this?

It is going to a warzone. (She looked at me like what are you talking about?)

Well if we send it priority air it can get there by the 13th, otherwise....

Once it gets to the Military System any priority is gone, ground parcel will be fine. (It will be there in time for christmas, hopefully)

But...

Ground parcel, trust me, not the first package i send... I average two a year.

So this is for somebody you know in theater?

Nope. It is for somebody's kid I met on the web.

Then why? I mean you don't know them.

Support the troops.

At that point, once she asked to see ID, I used my checkcard, I let her see my mickey mouse canoe card.

Well I support the troops, I got a magnet... she said defensively

So exactly where did the money for that magnet go to?

I don't know.

My point, this will allow the troops to enjoy a luxury you have every day, aka toilet paper.

Silence.

It was funny... and tragic, talk about a disconect

So she gives me the slip, "what do you think of the draft?"

"we need one." I left it at that. She lost colors by degree.
