How would they have handled Cindy had she been in street clothes? |
|
The cameras were clearly ready to zoom in on the family of the slain Iraq soldier. Thunderous applause. Standing ovations. (Thank you ma'am for your contribution to the Cannon Fodder Drive)
How would the "esteemed" body have handled Ms Sheehan's presence without an antiwar T-shirt? Knowing she was there, wouldn't they have needed to acknowledge her in some way? They knew in advance she'd be there. Yet she clearly wasn't given a seat near George The 2nd or The Queen Consort.
I don't know. I think they'd have found a reason to get her out of there, no matter what.

2. Pre-emptive removal for disrupter in New Patriot Act |
|
It will be interesting to see how people apply the provisions that pass under the new Patriot Act to tonight. As the next big thing is the New and Improved Patriot Act, it will come up.

3. Had she been allowed to stay, I think she'd've been deliberately ignored |
|
No cameras would've been panning up to where she sat. It would've been as if she hadn't even been there. Heh. So much for that plan. Now the entire world will know what happened. Cindy will wear that shirt and be interviewed by more shows and print media than ever before. The shirt, itself, will be famous.
Whoever ordered Cindy's arrest miscalculated the media repercussions.
