Sloganeering has been a way for Bush to change the subject... |
|
In 2000, we recall how John McCain went to New Hampshire and ran as a "reformer". He kicked George W Bush's ass. Immediately afterward, Bush and Rove analyzed the situation and came up with a new slogan. Bush would be a "Reformer with Results". Remember?
Now, after 5 years of "Stay the Course", Bush sees that it is not working. It's time for another slogan. How about a "New Way Forward"? It means the same but they will just change the name and pretend they are doing something they are not.
The same goes for the recent elections that saw the Democrats swamp Bush and the Republicans in the mid-terms. Bush will talk a lot about "Working Together" and will call for "bi-partisanship". Misery loves company. But the Democrats should know all of this by now. It's Coca-Cola Classic...

3. It's easier than, you know, doing something |

After all, actually confronting this problem would take a lot of hard work, cost billions of dollars, and make Stupidhead feel uncomfortable. Better to just ignore it, continue to spend billions of dollars, kick the can down the road a piece, and let Stupidhead feel good about himself. It's sort of like the Special Olympics for failed presidents, except that the Special Olympians I've met have far more integrity and smarts than Stupidhead will ever have.
