NPR reported bush* may NOT address nation before Christmas.
I guess now that the election is over and they feel that they are 'getting ahead' on this Iraq lying thingy, they may as well stretch it out until the New Year.

Meanwhile the bodies pile up.

1. Stalling, obfuscating, delaying, stretching, prolonging, bamboozling.
Till every last drop of golden oil is sucked out of Iraq.

2. It is probably about time for him to go on vacation again anyway.
It will have to wait until after the holidays.

4. ...kind of negates what Lee Hamilton said about it being a matter of days,
or weeks, not months or years. Sounds like complicity in willful neglect, if not outright murder.

Impeach now! Imprison Now!

5. I wouldn't be surprised if they stay a bit quieter than normal in the new year
They'll want to raise the profile of Congress so that they can blame our eventual defeat in Iraq on Congressional Democrats.

... to have figured out that every time he opens his mouth,
his approval rating dips?

15. Exactly.
Last thing I want this holiday season is to hear him blathering about how Jebus personally told him to 'stay the course' in Iraq because liberty is 'hard work' and those families who are grieving or receiving body bags from the airport should be 'proud' of what their loved ones died for and stop questioning him.

9. our librul MSM is just nice enough to let him get away with it, too.
Either way, Bush gets his own way. Baker gets to deal with pissed off Sauds, Pappy gets on a secret plane from SIngapore to make kissy face in Ryadh, and troops die uselessly, endlessly, when Boy George heads back to Texas to clear brush and kill off more wildlife and bird areas.

12. Fine with me. I'd rather not have my Christmas ruined.
Who needs him, anyway? We all know what he's going to say - all LIES and excuses and justifications and a lot of tap-dancing bullshit. JUST. BULLSHIT. I don't have time for that. OR for him.

"effective noon tomorrow, I will resign the Presidency"

Done as a duet with Cheney, and I actually might tape it.

Well, that's a bummer. How can I function? That puts a pall over all my Christmas plans. Everyone will be down in the dumps and it will ruin all the festivities. I don't know if I can STAND IT!

NOT!
