Poll question: Who will get the credit if we're out of Iraq in 2008? |
|
Not who will TAKE the credit--that will be a very long list. :) And not who will DESERVE the credit. But who will GET the credit?
Who, in the public's eye, will actually be responsible for the deed, if it finally happens in 2008?
(another way to ask this is "Who will be MSM give credit to?")
PLEASE DON'T VOTE FOR WHO YOU THINK DESERVES CREDIT!
I'm looking for who you think will end up GETTING credit. Thanks!

if we wait that long, it will be such an unmitigated disaster that there will be no "credit" to give.
it will be like the fall of Saigon

6. I think it will be blame, not credit, and it will go to the Democrats, alas. |
|
Iraq is going to explode when the American troops leave, and the longer they remain the worse it will be. It's bad now, it's getting worse slowly, and it will get worse rapidly once the Americans leave.
It's kind of like having your thumb in the hole in a barrel that's slowly being pumped fuller and fuller of water - you're getting wet and cold from the leak, when you pull it out the barrel will explode and you'll get drenched, and the longer you leave it in the bigger the burst will be.
I think that if and when (probably when) the Americans do pull out, most of the electorate will blame the party who decided to pull their finger out, not the one who jammed it in and broke the barrel in the first place, alas.

9. I honestly think the American people won't care that much about Iraq |
|
They don't care that much about genocide in the world. They don't care that much about murderous dictators in the world.
Because if they did, the MSM would devote more than 1 or 2 minutes to "world news" on nightly broadcasts.
If Iraq explodes, most Americans will be happy that our troops are no longer there. And most will think Iraqis are no worse off than they were under Saddam. True or not, that's what most will think.
Therefore, someone will get credit, not blame, that the troops are home, and that billions of tax dollars are no longer spent on a wasted war.

10. Whoever calls for withdrawal the loudest. |
|
You know what would get me really excited about an Obama campaign? If he immediately an unequivocally called for immediate withdrawal. None of this "change the course" shit.

13. He's Still The Doofus....errr....I Mean "commander" in chief. |
|
I'm wondering what Congress can do to stop him. They can cut funding, and then he'll turn around and blame them for "not supporting the troops." Or some such garbage.
Short of not financing the war, how can the Democrats get the stubborn, selfish, spoiled little brat to pull out the troops? Congress is limited in their options, although now at least they can stand up and scream at him.
I just doubt it's going to make him change.
