Do you know who is mining your data?
Below is a link to one of the shadowy unaccountable data mining companies that without permission will mine amazing things about us all. I tried to order something on-line from a Florida company (Alienware laptops, they are not worth the trouble IMHO) this last weekend and as i was confirming the order up popp-ed 2 pages of detailed personla questions that could not have been gotten except by using my Social Security number. Which I never gave them, nor would I if they had asked. So somehow this company not only got my CC number without my being notified, somehow they resolved that number back to my SSN. Who the fuck are these people? the worst part was the info they provided the selling company was WRONG, incomplete and seemingly unverified. In fact I even went so far as to call VerID and try to correct the 'record' they have on me. I was told they would call me back and so far nada. So it seems it is not only unverified, but they REFUSE to correct or verify it.

Do you want these kind of thoughtless folks in charge of your credit?

1. There are lots of companies collecting your data, and lots more
buying it from them! The data collecting companies include Choice Point, Verifications, Inc., Axiom etc.

The other nightCnBC had a documentary on called "Big Brother, Big Business". You can watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k12-yxStwIc

It was about 1 1/2 hrs long and had a lot of staggering info. They interviewed the owner of Axiom in Little Rock, AR.and he said almost every large retailer is getting info on their customers..."to help them please their customers"!!!!!!

Watch it is you have a chance.
