Is anyone else like me regarding "ethics" emphasis?
Sorry but I'm from Louisiana, I just don't feel and can't seem to get into this rah rah over ethics.

1. My problem with the Ethics Reform legislation is that it may be too weak,
...but I care deeply about the issue.

I don't want my Senators riding in corporate jets, vacationing in Scotland on the dime of an outside organization, and voting for corporate interests.

2. See, I completely disagree with that position

If I need something done by the federal government to protect the industry I am in, being able to bring them to my plant or whatever it is can and usually is vital.

Perhaps a senator reconsiders a vote to cut funding after some people pay to bring them to see a battered women's shelter first hand.

3. I want Congress members to visit manufacturing plants...
...and battered women's shelters.

But I want the taxpayers to cover the expenses, not lobbyists, not charities, not educational groups.
