Has the "views" column in some way made it so people

Is it just me because since the views column, threads seem to have fewer replies.

Anyone else notice?

Perhaps folks feel that they have commented enough just by viewing?

It's too bad, really.......

I love getting comments on my threads, and fewer comments mean less fun for everyone......

Plus, I enjoy hearing what my friends have to say about whatever it is I'm posting about.

2. I rarely even see the page with the "views" column

I'm a "Latest Discussion Threads" type, so I'm exempt.

3. It's hard to preserve the illusion that it's just the poster and

a small coterie of responders and discussants. It no longer feels like a private discussion when you see that 700 people have had a peek.
