Matthews back on Hardball and he's feeling better.
Actually sounding logical and not at all screechy and borderline nutty.

1. He was out for diabetes-related stuff, right?
That might explain a lot, if he was untreated.

3. Yes it was diabetes and he was hospitalized for at least several days.
i don't know exactly how long, but I know there were at the least, 3-4 days it was reported that he was in the hosp. To me that made it very serious. I don't know if was taking medications or not.

4. John Edwards is awesome...
Edited on Tue Dec-12-06 07:27 PM by Catshrink
paraphrasing:

Tweety: Did 9/11 goof up America's values?

Edwards: No, George Bush screwed up America's values.

Edit: OMG I called him John Roberts! Quick, hit the edit button!

9. I know someone who worked for them...
...prior to Edwards' political career and he said the same thing. He said he wouldn't vote for him for president, but he would vote for her.

13. I really think she's got it all. Warm. Smart. Tough. Strong. Perceptive.
The elevator goes all the way to the top ... and it's probably a helluva ride, too. I do like John ... he's wise enough to key on Elizabeth and learn. He's clearly smart, but does have a bit of the "slider" style - gets by on a smile and a handshake. Just a touch of glib ... but nonetheless substantive and serious under all that.

5. I'm glad he's doing better.
Diabetes sucks. 30 years now and what I wish for is just one day - one friggin' day free of this shit.

11. She handled it like a real pro.
Armed with grace and wit, she gave as good as she got. She's really is an amazing woman and I admire her. It wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit to see them in the White House.

7. Tweety has been pulling no punches regarding El Smirko Puta
Edited on Tue Dec-12-06 07:41 PM by TahitiNut
Most of the time I've heard him, he's managed to give Chimperor Disgustsus *some* credit. Tonight, he's laid the mess at Dumfuk's feet with no quibbles. I wonder if the hospital staff had "Come To Jesus" talks with him. (Other than some fatcat Rx=$ doctors, I don't know of many, if any, medical workers who think much of Chimpy.)

14. When he said "What happened to the Stepford Wives"
I said they're all in the Republican Party.

Barbara Bush
Laura Bush
Elizabeth Dole
Cindy McCain
Marilyn Quyale
Nancy Reagan
Columba Bush

Just to name a few.

I'd take an Elizabeth Edwards, Hillary Clinton, and Rosalynn Carter over any of them any day.

19. Elizabeth referred to Matthews' recuperation and health.

And he looked like he was recuperating, especially when he rose to greet Elizabeth when she came out.

I think it was recorded live this afternoon.

15. The "bite the balls" comment was more than a little strange.
Very, very strange thing to say to Mr. Edwards about his wife on national television. Odd.Odd.Odd. It certainly shocked Mrs. Edwards. Ahh, Chris, you still have that Irish anger streak, don't ya? Sometimes I think Chris confuses rudeness with tough questioning. John Edwards did a good job and Elizabeth was wonderful.

Glad Chris looks healthy and that he's back, but that appeared to be a minor melt down there or something. Still can't figure it out. He didn't like the fact that Mrs. Edwards stopped Mr. Edwards from answering a question. HA! tsk tsk Tweety! Bite your balls??

16. I wondered if I was even hearing that right. It was Chris the lecher coming through.
Like his chumming the cheerleaders.

Several flashes of the twisto 60's Catholic libido showing through. {no offense}

Still, glad to see him back, despite the rough edges. And this must have been either today or recent because Elizabeth mentioned his recuperation.
