6. The update post from ladytechie: |
|
"I would like to ask anyone still up to help get the word out that Cindy was taken downtown rather than being released, as we were told she would be.
And for anyone who thinks Cindy did ANYTHING to provoke this ridiculous act, I can assure you that she wore the same shirt she had been wearing all day--for her prebuttal--and that it was a last minute opportunity to go inside the chambers; she did not particularly want to do it, and did not decide until about 7:45 to do so.
She did not even think about what she was wearing, since she'd been in it all day long."

7. A post from that thread ... |
|
That needs to be repeated over and over and over and over, paying particular attention to these <explitive deleted> who think she framed this as a stunt to grab attention for herself or that anything she did today was in any single way wrong.
I am so pissed off I want to break things. More practically I want to walk down to that jail and take what legal measures can be taken either to get her the hell out or have someone answer why she is still there, on the record. Being 2000 miles away I can't do that, and it's frustrating, and I can't sleep because I know someone is now sitting in a jail cell in the United States of America as a political prisoner for daring even to wear a garmet that might have made his holiness uncomfortable.
FUCK!!!!

filibusterer, Di Fi is also the wife of one of SF's wealthiest men: A Big Defense Contractor. Tying Cindy up either in jails or courtrooms can work for Certain Democrats as Well as the Busheviks.

I'm knocking on wood here, but this travesty has the potential to be Camp Casey times 10 for W's bad publicity.
What a complete embarrassment this is going to be to this administration. As it should be.

I don't know what that person's sources are, but mine are closer to the scene. Perhaps, she's out because we heard they may be releasing her soon, but that's what they said two hours ago too (Before she was transfered downtown.)

22. Cindy is now a BIG threat to Di Fi of Cali as well. I'm not saying |
|
Cindy would win the seat if she ran against Di Fi but her announcement of that possibility has generated GREAT excitement. A Sheehan campaign would be a great lightening rod to focus a lot of the long pent-up rage and frustration all progressive Californians feel towards Di Fi. Besides being the ever-reluctant filibusterer, lets not forget Di Fi is married to one of SF's wealthiest men: a BIG Defense Contractor. So Tying Cindy up in Jails or Courtrooms can be most advantageous for Certain Democrats as WELL as the Busheviks.

Thanks for the info. "Di Fi" is MY Senator. I'm her constituent. Haven't heard her referred to as "Di Fi" in, well, the last time I listened to a right-wing whack job on the radio.
Peace.

about SOME mellow Californians is that they can turn out to be some of the most passive agressive fuckers in the world and do it with a big smile. Or stab you with hostile little messages while they sign off with a simple....humble...message of...."peace".

37. I didn't really understand what you meant by "the first time" -- |
|
I did NOT post twice on purpose. After I "posted" the first time I got a DU message page telling me my post did NOT post and that I needed to go back to the main page and post it again. So that's how THAT happened. I'm certainly no freeper. I just hate Democrats who hold back REAL progress (what a Poor substitute she was Post Harvey Milk -- now THAT was an organizer and a politician to respect!!)
