1. Could be a man....!!!!! Who knows?
Or it could be Mrs. K...but seeing as she's number three, that might be a bit of a hurdle.

Or it could be Mrs. Edwards, or Mrs. Obama, or Mrs. Clark. And let's just not rule out Mrs. Sharpton! The debates are gonna be interesting, that's for sure.

4. Indeed, the only reason I didn't include her, or Judy Dean, or Theresa Heinz, is
because they aren't in the running. And two of those three's spouses have said 'no way' thus far!

3. Yeah - I would for people to start thinking in terms of the "1st man"
Or at least to not go around making assumptions that the spouse would be a woman.

6. Barney Frank for President!!!!!
I think he's planning on getting married!

Darn, that would make right wing heads pop!

We love Barney in MA--he's a very sharp legislator, and he doesn't take any crap!

8. No! It will never happen! No man will ever be first lady!
Because they'll call him something else. First Gentleman, maybe.

Or perhaps just the President's husband, or Mr. X. Joking aside, I hope that's what they call him, and I'd like to see the wives of presidents referred to as the President's wife, or Mrs. X, or whatever she prefers. I find the Lady title annoying.

10. Gee, so do I!!! It's like a quasi-noble title; obnoxious, and suggests that all American wives
(and of course, that's what they are viewed as, FIRST and FOREMOST, little WIVES, even if they are award-winning writers, or surgeons, or what-have-you) must be "led" by the "First" Lady, who will set some sort of tone and direction for the rest of the unwashed and disorganized fools, in terms of style, grace, and other aspects of appearance.

Jeez, if the ladies in America followed poor ole Laura, there wouldn't be a set of velvet drapes left to hang in the front parlors of homes across the land!!!! And that's a terrible thing, what with winter coming on and those drapes doing a fair job of keeping out drafts!

13. That story about Dennis meeting his future wife made me want to cry
Its so beautiful. They are such good people and I'm happy they found each other. What a cute couple. I think their ages are irrelevant. I'm 30 and have no problem with people in their 20's or 30's being with people in their 50's and older.
