Second Colorado evangelical resigns over gay sex
"DENVER (Reuters) - A second Colorado evangelical leader in little over a month has resigned from the pulpit over a scandal involving gay sex, church officials said on Tuesday.

Paul Barnes has resigned from the 2,100-member Grace Chapel, a church he founded in suburban Denver, said church spokeswoman Michelle Ames.

Barnes' resignation follows last month's admission by high-profile preacher Ted Haggard that he was guilty of unspecified "sexual immorality" after a male prostitute went public with their liaisons.

Many evangelical Christians view homosexuality as a sin, though some are more strident on the issue than others."

1. Too bad, they're both probably walking further into the darkness...
...rather than coming into the light and actually healing.

2. Too many soy products?
That's what makes people gay, according to WorldNutDaily. Those fundie preachers gotta lay off the tofu.

10. Fantastic news for Colorado
Considering the appalling six-point loss of Referendum I (pro-gay marriage) and twelve-point win of Amendment 43 (anti-gay marriage) last month, anything that serves to remind the people of this state that gay folks continue to exist in all walks of life, no matter the vigor of the forces that try to oppress them, is welcome. The fact that it's another uptight Pharisee only makes it more savory.

11. This should start a complete reassessment of the flocks
of these evangelical churches. I really think we'll see some serious fallout by those who have been blindly following these con artists. Hopefully, they will begin to reflect on how they've been used to allow by their Churches and the Republican Party against their best interests. The flocks have been fleeced.

12. Come out, Come our where ever you are...
..I love it, this is hysterical!

Could it be that these fallen shamen are using their admittence to Gay Affairs to piss off their base and garner more hatered to the Gay community??? Because it only makes sence to me thats what they are up too, trying to be slick, manipulate their sheeple into hateing the Gay community even more. We all know that no matter what a brainwashed jeebus follower does its always someone elses fault for their actions, they are not going to hold Shamen Ted or this smuck accountable.

"Blame the Gays" they will cry..

The guy gave in to natural urges and feelings, for that I applaud...the ideology I wouldnt wipe my ass with.
