Saddam Captured 'Like a Rat' in Raid
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,105706,00.html
"With the arrest of Saddam, the source financing terrorists has been destroyed and terrorist attacks will come to an end. Now we can establish a durable stability and security in Iraq," said council member Jalal Talabani.

Adnan Pachachi, a Governing Council member, said Saddam's capture will bring stability to Iraq.

"The state of fear, intelligence and oppression is gone forever," Pachachi said. "The Iraqi people are very happy and we look forward to a future of national reconciliation between Iraqis in order to build the new and free Iraq, an Iraq of equality."

Saddam's capture likely has cut off one source of funding for insurgent attacks against coalition forces, Rumsfeld said.

"He was found with a sizable amount of money," he said. "And one of the things that the Saddam Hussein family and his clique of intimates were doing is they were providing money to people to go out and engage in acts against the coalition and the Iraqi people, so that's ended."

President Bush, in a short televised address from the White House...."This afternoon I have a message for the Iraqi people: This is further assurance that the torture chambers and the secret police are gone forever.

1. College...
Lynchburg, VA (ewww...too close to Falwell) 1 year away from graduating, I woke up that morning, made coffee, and turned on the tv. I was shocked certainly, but unsure whether it was a good thing or not. I'm still not sure...

2. when you turn in one direction, you turn in a circle
I couldn't tell you exactly where I was at this particular 'turn', but I can assure you I was unimpressed with pulling Saddam from his spidey hole.

I do, however, remember where I was when the 'shock and awe' phase was going on, and I remember thinking at that point that we had unleashed a Pandora's box that exacerbate the situation, rather than improve it.

But hey, I'm not a highly paid 'pundit', so what the hell do I know.
