1st Lt. Nathan M. Krissoff, 25 died Dec. 9 from wounds suffered while conducting combat operations in Al Anbar province, Iraq




Message from Wendy Hopkins, director of alumni relations (Williams):

I am very sad to report that Nathan Krissoff ’03 died this weekend while serving as a U.S. Marine in Iraq.

Many on campus will recall him as a political science major and a member of the water polo team and swim team, which he captained his senior year.

Below is a message from his parents, with what's known about his passing and information on how to receive updates on plans for a memorial service.






DoD Identifies Marine Casualty


The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

1st Lt. Nathan M. Krissoff, 25, of Reno, Nev., died Dec. 9 from wounds suffered while conducting combat operations in Al Anbar province, Iraq. Krissoff was assigned to Headquarters and Service Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Okinawa, Japan.
