but hearing the message, a message of hope and the rule of law. What I want to say is the difference between a Democrat person and a republican person is astounding. how can a re:puke: ever win an honest election, I guess that explains the reason they don't win honestly

10. Like my sister, they think it's some kind of "personality" contest.
They disagree with the politics of who they vote for, but they vote for the personality and don't understand why things they disagree with are passed into law.

My sister, who totally disagreed with *, nonetheless voted for * because she "just couldn't warm up to Kerry". I reminded her that she wasn't going to be dating, having sex with, or marrying either one of them. Presidential elections are not "America's Idol" contests nor mating rituals.

When I probed a little further, reminding her that * got us into Iraq, she said that since he got us into Iraq she figured he'd be the best person to get us out. I told her that logic was ridiculous. If he got us in there he wouldn't be wanting to get us out. She hemmed and hawed but agreed.

She also admitted she didn't pay much attention to the policies of any of the people she voted for. So I told her that she shouldn't vote, until she started paying attention to their policies.

Aaaaargh!

5. Repubs hate the truth and anyone who speaks it.
I think that's a primary difference. They loathe the truth. Truth to a repug is like garlic to a vampire, they do everything they can to avoid it. They hate the truth like cockroaches hate Tom Delay. They would touch the truth with a 10-foot clenis, and you know how much they love clenis. They wouldn't know the truth if it hired a lobbyist to slip $50,000 in their pocket.
