And the Military Industrial Complex says "KA-CHING!"
http://www.washtimes.com/national/20061213-010657-5560r.htm

I am getting more and more cynical about the real motives of the "Global War on Terror." It is sounding more and more like permanent war for the sake of war.

5. We have had a permanent war for over six decades
The MIC has to keep the mechanism going somehow... and those bases we have dotting the globe don't run themselves, you know.

6. Google War is a racket by Smedley Butler.
Butler was a US general who was enlisted by right wingers in a coup against FDR. Instead he blew the whistle on the whole thing.

He also wrote that the US Armed forces were primaily used as the strong arm of corporate interests in the world. It is an interesting read aspecially coming from a military man.

8. I've been cynical for a long time.
Don't ask me some of the things I've thought about. The "War on Terror" has been a boon for corporations; there are those who will make sure it continues forever.

9. Everything is war
"War on terror" "War on drugs" "War on Poverty" "War on Christmas" I'm tempted to proclaim a "War on war" but that would just be adding to the Orwellian speak which has infected our nation.
