Repubs Strongest Presidential Candidate Would Be Chuck Hagel.... |
|
... and whether Hagel gets the nomination over McCain and Guiliani will largely determine the direction of the Repub Party, and give us an idea how long they will remain out of power.
As a Democrat I would rather run against McCain, Guiliani, Frist, Santorum, or any of those rightwing conservative fundamentalists backers than someone like Hagel. Their time has come and gone. And BTW McCain is not a moderate or a straight talker, as born out by his conduct over the last 12 mos.

5. Hagel knows what will be exposed in the coming Congressional Investigations... |
|
I think there is a very good chance he will run and win the nomination. Just imagine who they would likely turn to once the corruption is revealed, and almost every top Repub leader is connected to that corruption.
Of all the Republicans that could put up a good fight, Hagel is the biggest threat IMHO.

Hagel's opposition to the war will ensure he captures more moderates than McCain.

8. I actually agree with that... |
|
I think Chuck Hagel would be formidible...
I have my doubts he will get in as long as McCain is running however...they would probably split the same constutuency in the Republican Party...
