"There have been a lot of violence in Iraq"
The fool just said that on my teevee.

He led by saying something about "a war that we now find ourselves in".
As if we just fell in the goddamn lake.

2. It makes much more sense if you spell it correctly.
"There have been a lot of violents in Iraq."

Never mind that "violent" is an adjective; if we can go to war against an emotion -- terror -- then we can have lots of violents just about anywhere.

Tansy Gold, who would much rather have lots of peaces.

6. Um, not to be too nit-picky, but shouldn't that be
"nannies"?

Jus' pickin' on ya, 'cause, yeah, I tend to jump on the goofs here sometimes, too, and then I try to remember we ain't gettin' no "form and content" grades on DU!

7. A lot of times we hurry our posts, hence our mistakes...
I try hard to write a post with properly spelled words and pronunciations, but it ain't easy.

4. yeah, I heard that, too-
reminds me of a speech I made in a college freshman Speech class.

It was about violence. A crazy friend in class critiqued my speech and said she wasn't sure if it was about violets, violins or violence.

Kind of fits here---hmmmmmm?
