The 9-11 SOTU paragraph, with subtext. |
Abroad, (unlike here in America) our Nation is committed to ... the end of tyranny ... On September 11th, 2001, we found that problems originating in a failed and oppressive state seven thousand miles away (that is to say, Afghanistan, though I hope you're stupid enough to think I mean Iraq) could bring murder and destruction to our country. Dictatorships (now I'm really talking about Iraq -- see how that works?) shelter terrorists (because we all know dictators like nothing more than for random political dissidents to have a large inventory of explosives), feed resentment and radicalism (Enough talk about overseas, let's talk about me), and seek weapons of mass destruction (we, of course, have good reasons to) Democracies replace resentment with hope (which is why we can't let that happen here,) respect the rights of their citizens and their neighbors (see the limitations we'd have to deal with if we were a democracy?,) and join the fight against terror. Every step toward freedom in the world (but not here) makes our country safer, and so we will act boldly in freedom’s cause. (Man, once we foist off a democracy on those towl-heads they'll be in so much disarray they won't even have time to care about the oil exports.)

1. He's the Freedom President. |
The amount of his references are inversely proportional to his action.
