I can't laugh at George Bush anymore.
Edited on Wed Dec-13-06 04:10 PM by sparosnare
Over the past six years (and even before that, cause I live in Texas), I laughed at his bumbling speech, idiotic manner and general stupidity as a coping mechanism more than anything. It was entertaining to make fun of his "misspeaks". It was entertaining to look at embarrassing pics posted of him and say "what a moron". It was entertaining to watch Jon Stewart mock him (quite well, actually).

I'm past all that now, it's gotten very old. After hearing Bush will delay policy decisions concerning Iraq until next year and knowing any decision he makes will be nothing but political, all I can do is clench my teeth. I don't know if I can live through another two years of this man dragging his feet while our soldiers continue to die over his deceptions and ineptitude. I only pray the new Congress is tough enough to tell him to shove his war up his ass.

I'm not laughing anymore.

1. I remember briefly laughing while he was running for governor here
wondering why such a lazy, incurious SOB would even bother - I still remember the chill that came over me when I realized THEY were going to install that piece of shit into the White House - basically ride his name to the top - OMG. I knew what was coming.

2. I agree, Bush no longer is a laughing matter with the senseless deaths he's causing to
take control and secure the oil flow of a foreign country under the guise of providing freedom to the Iraqi's and protection to the US. people.

4. Interesting that he is the object of such ridicule tho
I don't think the laughter is "amused laughter" anymore....I think it is dispairing laughter. Laughing to keep from crying. I just wanted to cry today, thinking about his "policy making" for Iraq.

6.  before bush showed his ugly face in 2000
I really did'nt know much at all about him , never had a reason to pay attention .

I thought there was no way he would win the president position and thought he was a joke . I never thought elections would be stolen either , it was quite a shock .

I never thought he was funny , stupid and insane yes , but I desire to have a president who is smarter than I am .

He is a monster .

7. He's a real "Nowhere Man".
Edited on Wed Dec-13-06 04:58 PM by mwb970
He's a real nowhere Man,
Sitting in his Nowhere Land,
Making all his nowhere plans
for nobody.

Doesn't have a point of view,
Knows not where he's going to,
Isn't he a bit like you and me?
Nowhere Man, please listen,
You don't know what you're missing,
Nowhere Man, the world is at your command.

He's as blind as he can be,
Just sees what he wants to see,
Nowhere Man can you see me at all?
Nowhere Man, don't worry,
Take your time, don't hurry,
Leave it all till somebody else
lends you a hand.

~"Nowhere Man" (Lennon-McCartney)

9. I stopped laughing after 9/11/01
His blatant power grab ("political capital") after that, and everything that came after - Iraq, the Patriot Act, warrantless wiretaps, Abu Ghraib, etc. made him decidedly NOT funny anymore. Ridiculous, yes. Funny, no.

10. I can't even laugh when "SNL" does a parody.
When we watch their skits, we just look at each other with blank stares at how pathetic this all has become.

13. Nearly four years later, knucklehead is going to try to get his mind around this
as soon as he hears all the ideas.
Georgie boy, you screwed it all up and there is no fix but to go home and pay off the disaffected.
