New Judiciary Committee member: "Impeachment appeals to me"

Cohen said that if Committee Chairman-to-be John Conyers, D-Mich., wants to raise the issue of impeaching President Bush or Vice President Cheney, "that would be the forum and that’s certainly some of the attraction of that committee, because there are some questions, I think, that need to be asked and some answers the American people need to hear.

"I’m not saying that I’m going to bring a resolution or support a resolution at this time, but it’s part of what makes the Judiciary Committee attractive to me."

Cohen said Pelosi wanted to see the freshman class of Congressmen who gave the Democrats a majority "recognized and rewarded."

"She wanted to see we got our first choice, and I think we all did." -snip-

This is Steve Cohen (D-TN), who won the seat Harold Ford left to run for Senate
