Poll question: Is Fidel Castro already dead?
Edited on Wed Dec-13-06 10:04 PM by RagingInMiami
It suddenly dawned on me that Castro could already be dead and has instructed his staff not to announce his death until New Year's Day, the 47th anniversary of when he seized power.

This way, they could make his death seem that much more symbolic and encourage the Cuban people to continue the second phase of the revolution.

After all, I have no doubt that even in death, Castro will be able to outsmart the U.S.

2. Care to add a "Don't know" option to your poll?
I have no idea if he is or isn't.

5. He's dead, Jim
Brother Raul would never have implied there's a chance to reestablish a dialog with the US if Fidel was still breathing.

6. We should assume he is alive until somebody produces the body, but...
In the meantime, we should plan for the day when we really know he is dead. When that day comes, we put the plan of lifting all crippling embargoes on the island nation of Cuba into action and seek peace and dialogue.
